Aeroseal: A Solution For Dusty Homes

AEROSEAL ·  DUCT LEAKS ·  DUCTS ·  DUSTY HOMES * AEROSEAL SOLUTION

The ducts of an HVAC system run through a lot dusty, and also dirty places such as basements, crawlspaces, and attics. Any leaks present in the return lines will suck dust from such areas directly into your home. This dust then causes allergies, red eyes, and also other respiratory problems.

Fortunately, you can easily eliminate the duct leaks that lead to dusty homes through the Aeroseal air duct sealing system. Here you will learn about how this system works to keep the air in your home as clean as possible.

The Aeroseal Process

Aeroseal takes a progressive approach to eliminating duct leaks. Other methods require contractors to first locate the leak sites, then laboriously repair them by hand. Aeroseal, on the other hand, eliminates duct leaks with minimum time and also effort.

First the vents leading from the ducts into the rooms of your home will be closed. Then an experienced contractor will spray pressurized Aeroseal particles into the ducts. These particles will naturally move toward the leak sites. There they grow in size, effectively plugging up the gap. In this manner Aeroseal can effective eliminate gaps or cracks up to 5/8″ in width.

Safe and Effective

Aeroseal sealant is made up of a vinyl acetate polymer. This inert chemical substance can be found in many types of hairspray and also chewing gum. Aeroseal has been certified as a non-toxic substance, meaning it poses no direct threat to you or your family. In fact, it is so safe that it it is widely used to seal duct leaks in hospitals and other commercial buildings.

Documented Results

The Aeroseal process always begins and ends with special tests meant to measure the effectiveness of the results. That way you will be able understand exactly what the Aeroseal has done for you. In general, Aeroseal tends to be 60% more effective at eliminating duct leaks than other methods. Not only that, but it costs up to 30% less.
